That Old Chinese Curse…

You know that old Chinese Curse, “May you live in interesting times?” Well, if my life got any more interesting I don’t think I could stand it. Why?

In the midst of readying our house for sale so we can move, I just sold another novel! Of course I’m delighted but….OY. I’m waiting for the galleys on one, I’ve just finished preliminary edits on number two and signed a contract for number three yesterday! Whew.

You’re probably wondering where all these novels came from. The secret is to simply keep writing. When I complete a novel, I let it sit for as long as I can, and start another. When that one is in progress, or if I get stuck I go back to the first one, print it out on paper and start revising. When it’s polished to the best of my ability, I start querying. And keep writing. I sold several books at one time because I had them in inventory. Yup, just like a business because writing IS a business – never forget that. I still have two completed novels I’m shopping as well as two novellas I’m waiting for publishers to decide on. What next?
I have so many ideas I don’t know which project to start on first.

So, keep watching this blog for further updates on….An Extra Pair of Eyes, FINDER!, and Mind Echos – the story of a female house call veterinarian who communicates with animals telepathically to help a police detective solve crimes.

Back to my packing…..
